Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd has been operating in Serbia since October 2002 as a part of Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International AG Klagenfurt, financial institution founded in 1896, which originally operated only in Austria. In the last decade the group has been successfully conquering the international market, and in 2006 it became the most successful financial institution in the Alps-Adriatic region, with 750.000 clients in 11 countries (Austria, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Lichtenstein, Germany, Hungary, Montenegro and Bulgaria), and a new name – Hypo Group Alpe Adria.

As a result of constant and very dynamic growth, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd is the third largest bank in Serbia at the moment, with 9.25% market share, it holds a first-class and diversified portfolio, 667 employees and a well-spread business network with branches in all major cities and towns, and headquarters in the Belgrade business centre “Usce”, which is now the home of all members of the group in Serbia.

Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd offers a wide array of products and services, and will develop them further according to needs and wishes of its clients and business partners. The bank is strategically oriented toward long term financing of corporate clients and agriculture. Long term loans are mainly intended for financing of development programmes and long term investments into fixed assets and permanent working capital. The bank also offers short term loans for financing of working capital, export financing and providing current liquidity.

The bank cooperates with more than 64,000 clients. More than 60 out of 300 most successful Serbian companies perform their banking activities through Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd.

Beside strong growth of financing large, middle-sized and small companies, the bank is also dedicated to retail banking and development of housing loans in particular. In this field the bank is now one of the leading institutions, with most favourable offer of housing loans, with lowest interest rates and longest tenor on the market of up to 30 years.

As a result of intensive growth of the business network, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd has branches in all major cities and towns in Serbia, especially in large economic centres. The bank’s network extends to 31 branches in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Sabac, Cacak, Krusevac, Subotica, Kikinda, Sombor, Becej, Zrenjanin, Pancevo, Vrsac and Vrbas, and by the end of 2006 the bank will have the total of 35 branches in the country.

Expansion of the network will open new possibilities for more intensive retail banking operations. Retail placements are constantly getting larger, especially in the field of housing loans, and new products are developed in order to perfect the quality of services. The bank has recently introduced a retail loan for purchase of real estate, while special emphasis will be placed on cards and savings products.
